Camshaft partnered with a client to design and build a stealth observation pole to allow soldiers to look over walls or around corners without being seen.
We used the client’s digital camera and solid-state recording system. The pole needed to pack up into a standard kit bag and be quick and silent to deploy.
Our solution featured integral cable management and an integrated digital camera. The pole can be configured to be free standing (to act like a tripod).
We have applied for a patent on the unique features and have recently adapted it to allow the mounting of a thermal imaging camera or other hardware on a universal mounting system.
